Soaring Appeal Year-End 2023

In this 2023 SEASON OF GIVING, you continue to be a critical partner in Soaring Unlimited Haiti’s growth and development. What is your most compelling “season reason” for desiring to contribute to our Sustainers’ Fund? Here are some possibilities:

• Soaring’s most significant challenge in the current fiscal year of 2023–24 is the sustainability of our long-time programs and services, along with new initiatives we have launched in the past two years. Perhaps you are most focused on helping our overall sustainability!

• Maybe your passion is Soaring’s newest initiative—our Women’s Health & Birth Center—which is approaching its first anniversary of operation. The Midwife Staff at “Sante Fanm” has assisted 85 babies being born and served hundreds of women patients for prenatal checkups, family planning services, cervical cancer screenings, and other women’s health.

• Perhaps you have been a follower of our Primary Care Clinic over the years. As “Clinique Medicale” enters its 15th year, we continue to serve historic patient numbers of more than 100 women, men, children, youth and the elderly on a daily basis.

• If you are particularly interested in empowering women financially, supporting our new Community Micro-Loan Groups are a great way to impact small business initiatives that help women and their children and families, and improve the overall economy of the community.

• Education Sponsorships were Soaring’s first initiatives decades ago and we continue to support the education of dozens of elementary and high-school students annually, if you would like to become a sponsor.

• Or maybe fighting malnutrition in children and food insecurity for families is most important to you. Soaring regularly feeds hundreds of Haitians in our local communities, making sure they have access to food and good nutrition

• In order to deliver all these new & existing services in Haiti, and sustain them into the future, Soaring has hired multiple new staff which has doubled our payroll, and we have set an aggressive budget for the current 2023-24 Fiscal Year which continues to substantially stretch our financial goals, maintain our growth and development, and expand our scope of services and footprint in NE Haiti.

• As Soaring approaches our 30th Anniversary in Haiti in 2024, we have rededicated ourselves to service there! Yet unfortunately we are seeing other organizations depart the country due to the relentless problems there. In the case of some of our partners, we are assisting with their closure and looking to potentially take on some of their work in order to continue to meet critical needs. This is another area of sustainable support you can help provide.

• It’s exciting to experience and be a part of the increasing impact we are making in Haiti—especially amidst such hard times for the people of their country. Now more than ever, our presence is needed in this poor and struggling country, and we’re grateful to new and long-standing donors alike to our Sustainers’ Fund!
