Health Care at Primary Care Clinic
Soaring first built a rural medical clinic in 2009 and has served the outskirts of the city of Cap Haitien for 16 years with daily primary care health services that the community would not have access to otherwise. We employ three Haitian physicians, as well as a nurse, lab technicians, and pharmacy personnel.
Nutrition
Soaring’s Nutrition programming began at the Clinic as food provisions for families with a child diagnosed with malnutrition. The program was expanded in 2020 as a result of the Pandemic and then Civil Unrest, both of which created higher food costs and less access. Last year, we added a Community Garden.
Women's Health & Birth Center
As of January 2023, SUH has expanded our medical campus by completing construction of a midwifery facility where women in Haiti can come to give birth, attended by trained professional Haitian Midwives. At this health center, they also receive prenatal & postpartum care, family planning & HIV/STD screening.
