Soaring Nutrition & Food Insecurity Programs

Soaring’s Nutrition programming began at the Clinic as food provisions for families that had a child who was diagnosed with malnutrition.  The program was expanded extensively beginning in 2020 as a result of the Covid Pandemic and Severe Civil Unrest, both of which created higher food costs and less access to food for Haitians. Soaring now provides food kits regularly to as many as 200 families and their children, as well as vulnerable elderly.  This includes corn meal, rice, beans, spaghetti, powdered milk, and cooking oil. Medical-grade peanut butter bar supplements are also added in to fight malnutrition in kids and help pregnant women have more healthy pregnancies.
